Career Advising

In my career, I have seen tens of thousands of job applications. I have run summer co-op programs receiving 500+ applicants, reviewed applications for competitive public sector fellowships, led biannual hiring for my own team, and sat on executive hiring panels. I have taught Job Hunting 101 to students and newcomers, gave career talks at university career days, led research on job transitions and pathways, and worked with clients at all stages of the job hunt and application process. I specialize in supporting clients through significant professional transitions (e.g., sectoral, seniority, etc) and within or into the public sector, technology, and arts and culture.

The modern job hunt is full of both acute and sustained stress and so much of the information online and in university career offices is woefully out of date and without inside information on what happens after you press submit. I help you tell your career story in ways that are legible to hiring managers and automated applicant tracking systems, building unique narratives out of career pivots, gaps, transitions, and holding your hand through long multi-stage competitions.

TESTIMONIALS

“In the age of AI, the human touch really matters and Nisa is the best. She helped me through a highly competitive process, guiding me in crafting a bespoke CV and cover letter through to the written assignment. She is professional, polished, and thoughtful, all of which resonated in my application. She works with you through what can otherwise be a very stressful process and makes you realize where you shine. Highly recommend!” - Director, Public Sector Consulting
