In my career, I have seen tens of thousands of job applications and answered countless career-related coffee chat requests. I have run summer co-op programs receiving 500+ applicants, screened applications for competitive public sector fellowships, led biannual hiring for my own team, sat on executive hiring panels, taught Job Hunting 101 to students and newcomers, gave career talks at universities, led research on job transitions and pathways, and worked with clients at all stages of the job hunt and application process.
The modern job hunt is uniquely challenging, full of both acute and sustained stress. So much of the information online, in university career offices, and even from your own boss, is woefully out of date and without inside information on what happens after you press submit. You need help. You need a hands-on career advisor, not just your line manager giving you tips, or a quick coffee chat on your goals with a mentor.
I work 1-1 with clients to tell their career story in ways that are legible to hiring managers and automated applicant tracking systems, building unique narratives out of career pivots, gaps, transitions, and holding your hand through long multi-stage competitions. I specialize in supporting people through significant professional transitions (e.g., sectoral, seniority, etc) and within or into the public sector, technology, and arts and culture.
